Als die im Fach Philosophie verankerte europäische Fachzeitschrift zum Thema repräsentiert das Jahrbuch Technikphilosophie (JTPhil) das gesamte Spektrum der Disziplin: von avancierter Theorie und Reflexion der Rolle der Technik in Wissenschaft und Lebenswelt über die STS-Forschung bis zu Analysen technikpolitischer und technikethischer Entwicklungen.

Seit 2015 erscheint das Jahrbuch mit Beiträgen auf Deutsch, Englisch oder Französisch. Das Jahrbuch setzt Akzente in Form von Themenschwerpunkten; daneben wird durch Abhandlungen das Spektrum aktueller Forschungsaktivitäten repräsentiert. Ein mehrstufiges Begutachtungsverfahren (double-blind peer review) hilft bei der wissenschaftlichen Qualitätssicherung der Texte. Klassische, aber vergriffene, im Fachdiskurs wenig beachtete, aber lohnenswerte Texte der Technikphilosophie werden in der Rubrik Archiv zugänglich gemacht. In profilierten Debatten-, Kommentar– und Rezensionsteilen diskutieren unsere Autorinnen und Autoren technikphilosophisch interessante Entwicklungen des aktuellen Jahrgangs.

As the European journal on the subject, the Jahrbuch Technikphilosophie (JTPhil) represents the entire spectrum of the discipline: from advanced theory and reflection on the role of technology in science and the lifeworld to STS research and analyses of technopolitical and technoethical developments.

Since 2015, the yearbook has been published with contributions in German, English or French. Each Jahrbuch focuses on special topics, while essays represent the spectrum of current research activities. A multi-stage review process (double-blind peer review) helps to ensure a high quality of the texts. Classical but out-of-print texts in the philosophy of technology, which have received little attention in professional discourse but are worthwhile reading, are made accessible in the Archive section. In profiled debate, commentary, and review sections, our authors discuss current developments of interest in philosophy of technology.
